Where I Work

For the mind to express itself at its best, it needs an appropriate environment. My workspace is designed as a reproduction of a typical early 20th-century psychoanalytic office in England. It is in this setting, after all, that the psychoanalytic ideas forming the basis of my theoretical framework were developed.
There are no Freudian couches here—instead, clients are welcomed into a sitting room where they may choose to settle into either a comfortable Chesterfield sofa or an enveloping armchair crafted from fine leather. Nearly all furnishings are original English pieces, skillfully restored by Italian artisans. Every detail has been carefully selected and arranged to create an ideal setting for relaxation and focus.
To ensure maximum privacy, the office has two doors: one leading in from the waiting room and the other opening directly into the corridor and exit. The practice is located on the first floor of a building protected by the Fine Arts Department, in the heart of Trieste’s most charming neighborhood—Cavana. Today, Cavana is a vibrant meeting point for locals and tourists alike, nestled between Piazza Unità d’Italia, the sea, and the city’s oldest district at the foot of San Giusto Hill.
